Right On Time For Valletta 2018
Restoration works came to an end on the new façade for the St John’s co-Cathedral. In 2018, being the year for the European Capital of Culture, Valletta had undergone constant renovations and upgrades to its buildings and architecture. The project cost around €660,000 and it covered an area of 2,000 square metres in which restorers polished the facade’s stonemasonry and restored the co-Cathedral’s towers and clocks.
Valletta 2018 chairman Jason Micallef shared the initial trials for the presentation happening on the façade of St John’s co-Cathedral on Saturday 20th January. The Valletta 2018 Opening was the biggest celebration that Malta’s capital city has ever seen.
