AX ODYCY Hotel Once Again Supports the Franciscan Welfare Association in Qawra

At AX ODYCY Hotel, we believe that true hospitality extends far beyond our doors. It is about connection, compassion, and community; values that lie at the very heart of everything we do. This October, the hotel once again joined forces with the San Frangisk t’Assissi Church in Qawra, donating a variety of long-life and non-perishable food items to support the Franciscan Welfare Association and its mission to help those most in need.

This marks the second collaboration between AX ODYCY and the Franciscan Welfare Association. The first took place earlier this year in May 2025 when the hotel commemorated its second year in operation with a community initiative that reflected the brand’s deep sense of gratitude for the place it calls home. In September, the hotel also provided food for the Church’s fundraising summer BBQ, reducing their operating costs and helping the association to gather as much funds for the upcoming months to further their community support.

The Franciscan Welfare Association, led by a dedicated team of volunteers, plays an invaluable role in Qawra. Through its ongoing efforts, the association provides cooked meals and hampers to vulnerable individuals and families multiple times a week, offering essential support and comfort where it is needed most.

“Such aid immensely helps the Franciscan Welfare Association in fulfilling its aim to help the needy and less fortunate in our community,” said Mr Mario Camilleri, Treasurer of the Association. “The association is currently helping over 50 families by supplying them cooked meals and hampers three times every week.”

For AX ODYCY Hotel, initiatives like this are not simply part of a corporate checklist. They represent a genuine effort to nurture the community in which the hotel operates, to give back, and to build lasting relationships with the people and organisations that make Qawra thrive.
