On the 15th October 2018, AX Hotels, part of AX Group, has officially undergone a major rebranding that has enhanced the group’s internal connection. AX Group is made up of AX Care, AX Hotels, AX Construction and AX Development. However, the group has come a long way.


The History

In 1975, AX started its way in construction and by the mid-eighties it was already a well-established company on the Maltese Islands, having the largest rock quarry, pre-cast and pre-stressed concrete plant on the island.


Development came next for the group. AX Group started to develop individual terraced houses, residential blocks, hotels, restaurants, office blocks, and more.


In 1983, the first AX Hotels, AX Sunny Coast Resort & Spa was born in Qawra and it became the group’s first investment. All went uphill from then on. Today, AX Hotels manages 7 properties including the 5-star city designer hotel in Sliema, AX The Palace, the 4-star AX The Victoria Hotel, the 200-year old AX Palazzo Capua, the 4-star AX Seashells Resort at Suncrest and the boutique accommodation AX The Saint John in Valletta. In 2019, AX Hotels is set to open another accommodation in Merchants Street.


In 2015, AX Group launched the first retirement village on the island which is now part of AX Care. This includes Hilltop Gardens and Simblija Care Home in Naxxar.

The new logo reflects the group’s elegance and legacy. It is robust but still elegant reflecting our welcoming, friendly and approachable manner towards business and clients. It hits the right emotional tone.
