Visit the location of the late Azure Window
The Azure Window, an iconic landmark, that was also featured in Game of Thrones, collapsed in 2017 due to severe weather conditions. However, the location is still a touristic attraction. Ggantija Temples.The Citadel
The Citadel, also known as Citadella, is a fortified city that is located in the heart of Victoria. The first fortifications of the Citadel were built in 1500BC so that means that this landmark is rich in history. Climbing to the top of the Citadel, you will be able to witness magnificent views of the island of Gozo.

Like Malta, Gozo is full of magnificent beaches. Ramla Bay is one of the most popular sandy beaches in Gozo. Its deep yellow and red sand and clear water attract both tourists and locals alike. The ice cream van in the area does the best slushies around! San Blas Bay is a secluded beach in Gozo which is quite hard to get to since there is a very tough downhill (resulting in a very steep uphill). However, the views are priceless and worth the exercise! Hondoq ir-Rummien, Marsalforn, Xlendi Bay and Ghasri Valley are also some of the top beaches here. Gozo is also equipped with various dive sites for snorkelling and underwater activities.
Ggantija Megalithic Temples
The Ggantija Temples are one of the most important archaeological sites in the Maltese Islands. Built from limestone, this Neolithic temple dates back to around 3600BC. They are older than the Egyptian pyramids! The Ggantija Temples are believed to be the site of a fertility cult and they are one of the most fascinating pieces of history on the island.

Wine tasting is one of the top things to do in Gozo. Two of the most popular are Tal-Massar Winery in Gharb and Ta’ Mena in Xaghra. Salt pans
The north of Gozo displays natural salt pans protruding into the sea. Some of these salt pans are still currently in use and tourists can witness the salt being extracted from the sea. Once the salt is collected, it is stored and processed in the nearby caves along the coast. The salt pans are 350 years old and they have been passed from generation to generation.
